Missione 1: ritrovare Amazone (****) COMPIUTA
But still a very good perfume, and women's vital that, if desired, in Italy you can buy online .
department on the fifth floor of Harrod's is a kind of realm of niche perfumery, created and ruled by the great expert on perfumes Roja Where . I committed, highly competent, are kind enough to seat the customer on a sofa in an Oriental style and bring the strips of paper with the scents of smell, if she is tired after a day of pilgrimage to London the other temples of smell. They know the notes in each fragrance, the fragrance family, and know how to find each person having their taste in odors. I was looking for a joyful fruity, version of a high level of Dewberry (***) that, unfortunately, after a few hours on the skin reveals its nature cheap. Too bad there was no such thing. The only thing that was approaching, with the gaiety of orange, Enslaved (****), is created by Roja Dove in person. But it costs £ 800 and a number Cosimo I spent maybe just a genuine fragrance from crime.
the ground floor, there is a normal perfume department, with all the luxury brands as possible, wisely divided into two rooms, one for cosmetics and fragrances for one. Compared to the Italian department store, the choice is much wider and staff courtesy of a disturbing, they pretend to be happy if a sniff around and do not buy anything. I imagine that if after closing the shop, have a moment of relief, in which they get punched in a punching bag with the words "pennyless client."
I tried the two fragrances created by Bond No. 9 for Harrod's (***), pure luxury bottled Petite Robe Noire (**) by Guerlain, I was disappointed: the licorice, in a female rather boring, like a bow in a strange material, like rubber, attached to an ordinary little black dress, just to make it look a bit 'more original.
Mission 2: Try Pon Farr. I failed miserably
shot both the perfume in London, where they told me that Pon Farr is an article of merchandise stores, merchandising and store type Forbidden Planet, dove mi hanno guardato come un'aliena. E non nel senso che speravo io.

missions I'm going to London! Animal experiments

Domani parto per Londra perché il 28 agosto c'è il Basenotes official lunch. In pratica è un raduno di perfumista (versione olfattiva della fashion victim, condizione patologica inspiegabilmente trascurata dal DSM IV) di tutto il mondo. Visteremo il mitico reparto Haute Parfumerie di Harrods, forse guidate da Roja Dove in persona, Be Never Too Busy to Be beautifull, lo spin-off cosmetico di Lush, Les Scenteur, Ormonde Jayne e molte altre mitiche profumerie di Londra. Sicuramnte, che il tour ufficlale lo preveda o no, farò un salto da Jo Malone, to smell the smells that, due to a policy of marketing really insane, have not yet been imported into Italy.
When I return, Sunday 30, I will make a detailed account of the event and two of my personal missions:

1) Finding Amazone (****), the first fragrance in I fell in love, because my mother was a champion and I did smell while traveling by car. Obviously it was the original version of 1974, but it also opens the one currently on the market, reformulated in 1993, is pretty good.

2) More importantly, try Ponn Farr, a scent inspired by Star Trek and Spock in particular, the hero of the sexiest and most charming and adorable ever born from the mind of a writer's show. Indeed, since that is a perfume for women, inspired me in Tporc version, the woman who Spock logically should choose as his partner.

Hypotension Heart Attack

At the request of Priscilla, republish a post I wrote a few months ago on my other blog , one dedicated to cazzeggiano general, with the addition of a photo documenting the altered state of the victim after the experiment:
I did smell the perfume that my cat Minerva Silvio Levi me know during his conversations about the world of perfume, just to see the reactions of a feline sense of smell. I started with Let me play the lion by the name (***), feline. Minerva has sniffed, then dismissed the nose, he played a bit 'with the map, it must be realized that is not edible, he lost interest and devoted herself to wash. I tried to put them under my nose, one at a time, all other maps. Total indifference. At best, if you approached the lot, I looked annoyed, as if to say: "What the hell kind of experiments are you doing? I am a cat, not a guinea pig", it was even asleep. Finally I pulled out the Antimatière (****). Minerva pulled her head up suddenly, with green eyes staring, ears erect, sniffing the air in all directions, without knowing where it came from the smell. She started staring at a point in space, as cats do sometimes. that's why they say see ghosts. And if the Antimatière was the smell of a spectrum?
